Follow along as the SmarterEveryDay youtube channel visits a NASA press conference to learn more about the Parker Probe's mission and the technology that will allow it to achieve it! The Probe began its journey to the Sun on August 12, 2018 and is expected to get within 3.8 million miles of our star where it will experience temperatures in excess of 2,500 Fahrenheit (1,377 Celsius). More information about the Probe can be found on NASA's website.

Not only will this exploration allow us to gather exciting new data on solar weather, but NASA is offering to let you send your name along for the ride!
